Auckland Launches the TravelWise Walk to School Week Competition

The 2 - 6th March is TravelWise Walk to School Week, a competition being run by the Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) in partnership with local councils to officially celebrate the start of Feet First Walk to School Every Week!

The aim of the competition is to get as many students walking to school, or at least 10 minutes of the way, as possible. It’s a great opportunity for children, parents and caregivers to get out, get some fresh air and meet some new people! The number of children walking to school each day throughout the week will be monitored by the schools, and those with the highest participation rate will win some book vouchers to stock up the school library!
