“Dave…MOVE THIS BUS!”

“Dave…MOVE THIS BUS!”

They started shouting this each time the bus stopped because there were too many kids talking for “Driver Dave” to hear Wendy say “start walking” Connor says. Connor and Wendy started shouting out to Dave. Then Wendy decided to surprise Dave….she whispered to all the children that the next time the bus stopped ALL the children would shout out “Dave…MOVE THIS BUS” too! The first time it happened Dave was really shocked and got a bit of a surprise. “I was impressed with their motivation and enthusiasm to be loud and proud” Dave says.

Now this chant is a regular part of the bus and helps Dave know when it’s time to start walking again! The children say that it’s good to have this chant because it helps them get to school on time. They also like walking to Baverstock Oaks School because they can walk with their friends, work as a team and keep their bodies fit.

Have a listen to the chant!
