Catherine McCaffery the Feetfirst organizing teacher of Onehunga Primary said about winning the $500 Sports Voucher prize “! The children clapped and cheered at assembly when it was announced at the start of the term.
Throughout the term we have discussed the benefit walking has on the environment. Not only do we reduce pollution by not taking the car but we also have the opportunity to enjoy the environment. There are so many beautiful flowers to look at!
We want to encourage people to continue to walk to school next term. We made our own walk to school posters to spread the word!
