Blustery Weather Doesn’t Stop Arataki School

 Windy and cold, Arataki School participated in a full school walk from Baywave. Many parents and teachers joined us as we put one foot in front of the other and walked our way to school. Balloons were flying everywhere and car horns tooted in support, as we held up our Feet First banner proudly and struggled into the wind down Girven Road…..

 

It felt so physical and awesome I wish it was everyday……

 

It was a rainy day but lots of people came along to walk with us for Feet First.  I saw lots of kids having fun walking with us…..

 

I was shocked that I was too late to walk to school from Baywave; I wish I could have been there…..

 

We wore funky feet or funky hats. It was awesome because we all got to hang out with our friends…..

 

As I was rushing to get to Baywave I felt happy and excited wearing my wacky hat and funky shoes. The only disappointment was that it was a rainy day….
