Safety Week

Safety Week

Papamoa School had a Safety Week in Term 4 where students celebrated their safe walking, cycling, scootering, skateboarding and bussing to school as big part of their

“ I save the world” programme.

Ruben the road safety Bear made a guest appearance one morning and congratulated those students on the McCallum St Kids on Feet walking bus. Students use active transport ideas on this bus and the Simpson Rd bus every morning and afternoon.

Komeldeep and Kat input the Feet First every week on Thursday mornings for the school, this was also played a big role in the Safety Week. They were really excited along with Cathy Burgess the DP the prime motivator at the school. Three senior classes at Papamoa School in Motiti House achieved 100% and one of the classes has been consistently achieving this top result. Well Done Seniors – what great role models!

Poster cards were made by Sue and were distributed through out the school.

The students also had a lot of fun relaying their message on the pavements at school. Their messages were supporting safe walking, cycling, skateboarding, scootering and especially supporting their “ i save the world programme” alongside Kids on Feet, Feet First, Kids can Ride.

Well Done Papamoa School!
