Lyttelton West students get organised

Lyttelton West students get organised

At Lyttelton West School every Wednesday before school my friend Ishbel and I, who are part of the Green Group, give a raffle ticket to the kids who walk to school [taking part in Feet First]. Don’t worry we recycle the paper! I go on the school bus like many of my friends, so we are already being environmentally friendly. Every few weeks we draw out the raffles in assembly. The prize is usually a voucher. So far we have given out a number of video store rental vouchers, a $100 worth sports voucher and more recently 1000 house points. We are trying to encourage people to walk to school which is better for their health and more importantly the environment. Now most of our school are walking to school.
