A school travel plan provides an opportunity for parents/caregivers, schools and the community to work together to improve safety. Considering safety at every stage is a fundamental priority of all successful school travel plans.This booklet was updated in June 2010 and is published online only. This document works with the NZTA’s education
material which include walking school bus materials and our Feet First programme.
