Fernridge Bike to School for Climate Change

Fernridge Bike to School for Climate Change

On 350 Day of Action (23rd October) Fernridge School students and Principal, Paul Adamson were joined by School Travel Plan Coordinator, Rebecca Jamieson, Constable Chopper from Masterton Police and Masterton District Councillor, Chris Peterson for their Bike to School Day.

Fernridge School are an award winning silver Enviroschool committed to environmental learning.

In Term 4 they are enhancing their Enviroschools philosophy further by starting a new journey with the Wellington Region's Travel Plan Programme.

By encouraging safe, active and sustainable travel to school, they aim to reduce the number of car trips to and from school thereby reducing their CO2 emissions!

What better to show their commitment to the environment and launch their Travel Plan than with a Bike to School Day
