Kick starting your Spring term

Greater Wellington regional council has recently launched an online journey planner www.journeyplanner.org.nz . We’re encouraging parents to use the planner to find out the best route for their children to walk to school this term, and they might also win prizes for their child and school.

If your school is within the greater Wellington region, get involved, it is easy!
Just log on to www.journeyplanner.org.nz plan your route to school and tell us what makes your journey special. To show the judges you know the route well, write a brief description of the journey you have chosen and a few sentences about things you see along the way. Winners will be selected on the basis that they can provide evidence of familiarity with the route.

There are two weeks in which to test and become familiar with your chosen route, before the competition closes on October 30.

Email your entry with your school name in the subject line to journeyplanner@gw.govt.nz  Please include the student's name with the accompanying text.

This promotion is only open to schools within the Greater Wellington region.
